After being the poster girl for the smokey eye for years, model Pamela Anderson decided to ditch makeup last year, to the shock of most of her fans. She has since stayed true to her bare-face era, making public appearances with nothing on her face but glowy, moisturized skin.
While promoting her new cookbook titled I Love You: Recipes From The Heart, she told Better Homes & Gardens that her decision to go makeup-free has surprisingly attracted more people to her. She noted that people often admit they never liked her until now.

The 57-year-old said she was delighted by the reactions to her keeping it natural, as she never expected anyone to notice at first. She recalled showing up to the Paris Fashion Week event without sitting in the makeup chair because she did not want to spend hours touching up her face.

Pamela feels relaxed about her choice as she now gets to let go of the desire to look perfect. Her transition has inspired women to feel beautiful without enhancements and embrace the changes that come with age. The mother of two took care to note that her pastimes as a perfect-looking pinup doll were fun but over.
Great skin for confidence
Bidding goodbye to cosmetics means Pamela now gets to pay more attention to her skin’s appearance. She launched her vegan skincare line, Sonsie Skin, last year, offering an all-in-one set containing the Sonsie Super Serum, the Multi Moisture Mask, and the Basic Balm for lip care.
She celebrated the company’s first anniversary in June by demonstrating how to apply each product. Pamela promised more line-ups and appreciated her customers and fans for their support. “Together, we are spreading a message of self-care and self-love around the world,” she said via Instagram.
