Pat Sajak, the long-time host of Wheel of Fortune, has retired from the show, paving the way for Ryan Seacrest to take over his iconic role. Sajak, who began hosting the beloved game show in 1981, dedicated over four decades to his job, making him one of the longest-serving game show hosts in television history. His tenure on the show left an indelible mark, with his genial presence and quick wit becoming synonymous with the program.

However, the 77-year-old’s retirement has sparked considerable speculations. While the official narrative presents his departure as a natural and voluntary transition, some insiders hinted at a more complex story, claiming that Sajak may have faced pressure to step down amid changing dynamics on the show.

Insider says Pat Sajak might not be willing to guide his successor, Ryan Seacrest

The source revealed that although it is traditional for  Sajak to mentor his successor, the 77-year-old seems quite reluctant to do so. He justifies his stance by stating that he doesn’t want to interfere with Seacrest’s work.

The insider added that even if Seacrest were to seek advice or tips from Sajak, there is no assurance that he would provide the requested guidance as it seems that the former host has adopted a wait-and-see attitude. They add that Sajak may simply resort to observing from a distance to see how the new host will manage the duties that come with being the face of the beloved game show.
