Wheel of Fortune viewers are in for a treat as their all-time favorite show host, Pat Sajak, will be returning for a special season this fall. After an emotional farewell from the game show in June, Sajak’s reappearance for Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune in October will mark his final collaboration with the program.
This update comes as a relief to many fans, who are disheartened by Sajak’s retirement and replacement with Ryan Seacrest. The official announcement was made via ABC’s social media channel, urging viewers to stream on Hulu each weeknight.
The confirmation post showed a suited-up Sajak beside his co-host Vanna White, who wore a sleeveless black dress and bejeweled dangling earrings. Sajak’s fans could not hold back their excitement in the comments and expressed their anticipation ahead of the special season’s debut on October 7.
An Instagram user asked when the participating celebrities would be announced, while another questioned the whole point of Sajak leaving in the first place. “PAT’S STILL GOT SOME WHEEL LEFT IN HIM YAAAAAS!!! Now to become a celebrity before he retires from CWOF,” someone joked. “Holy cow, we got one more time with the Sajak, but in prime time,” some other comment read.
A viewer asked if Ryan will be joining Vanna and Sajak for the upcoming celebrity special, however, there is no news of such as of yet. Ryan is set to debut as Sajak’s replacement this fall, but most fans are not looking forward to it. It has been hard letting go of Sajak after his 40-year run, and Ryan acknowledges he has big shoes to fill.
Vanna is allegedly considering her early retirement, too, with recent updates stating that she is having a hard time getting used to Ryan. The 67-year-old reportedly has her eye on Sajak’s daughter, Maggie, as her replacement, and the audience seems to welcome this idea too.
