32 years after playing Catherine Tramell on Basic Instinct, Sharon Stone took to Instagram with a photo reminiscent of her character. She sat with her legs crossed, just like Tramell; however, in contrast to the latter’s white turtleneck dress, Sharon wore red lace lingerie and a bold pearl necklace, showing off her skin and her impressive figure.
The 66-year-old accompanied the look with a pair of blue strappy heels with a pink flower detail by the side. She also wore an anklet and a pair of stud earrings that matched her neckpiece, posing in Tramell style for the camera. She uploaded the snap with the simple caption that read, “BASICALLY…YOURS.”
Fans react to Sharon Stone’s ‘Basic Instinct’ recreation photo
Sharon’s post went unsurprisingly viral, as it is not every day one sees a woman in her sixties show off her body with such confidence. “This is what we want to see more, women of a certain age bold and daring,” a fan cheered. “You look amazing and are amazing. You’re such a strong woman and I love your outspokenness and strength,” another gushed.

Amid the praise, users also disapproved of Sharon’s display, advising her to put on a better costume and not let people “belittle her.” Sharon’s fans jumped to her defense, asking the critics to quit bothering her. “Troll elsewhere! Sharon is living her best life without you,” someone clapped back.
Sharon Stone talks aging and career
As with most women in Hollywood, aging poses a threat to their careers, and Sharon was not left out either. She was only 40 when she was termed too old to work in the industry. She hid the truth of her health at the time, having suffered a brain bleed and stroke under wraps in a bid to revive her waning career.
More recently, Sharon has chosen to damn the odds, proving that women need not live by society’s restrictive rules. The mother of three feels more confident than ever, maintaining her looks with regular Pilates sessions, circuit training, a clean plant-based diet, and a load of sunscreen.
