David Hasselhoff Breaks Out ‘Knight Rider’ Leather Jacket And KITT For New Video

David Hasselhoff Gets Into ‘Knight Rider’ Costume To Advise Gamers On Global Warming

To promote the Make Green Tuesday Moves campaign, a video games climate change alliance, David Hasselhoff donned his old leather jacket and KITT from Knight Rider to tell his gamer fans to play and save planet Earth. Thanks to support from celebrities like David, the initiative will release downloadable content every month to paying participants.

David started his ad with a catchy line that went, “You know I’ve been on some amazing movie sets, but my favorite set of all? Planet Earth.” Proceeds from the sale of virtual game assets like characters, costumes and objects will be used to fund sustainability projects through the non-profit digital platform PlanetPlay.

The campaign benefits countries like Kenya via the Hongera Project, which provides families with clean cookstoves, and New Zealand through the WAI Wanaka water conservation project. By simply gaming and purchasing DLCs, these vulnerable demographics can have access to amenities that improve their lives and community.

He urged gamers to grab their joysticks and hit play for the good cause, which is also supported by Google. The Head Of Partnerships at Google, Tamzin Taylor, called the campaign a fantastic example of how something as mundane as video games can make a positive impact on the world. PlanetPlay’s CEO Rhea Loucas also has their fingers crossed that global warming will stay below 1.5 degrees.

With Google spotlighting the specified games on their Play Store app, interested gamers can easily find and participate in the contribution. The games include Bowling Club, Hunt Royale, Peridot, and Tile Dynasty, which, although not popular, has nearly 40 million players having fun on them daily.

There were varying reactions to David’s ad on social media, ranging from those who were eager to participate, to those who labelled the cause as another means to siphon cash. “It’s sad people still believe this nonsense,” a YouTube viewer commented. Some were simply blown away by David’s appearance and gushed about how good he looked at 71.
