Dolly Parton And Lookalike Sister Spark ‘Seeing Double’ Reactions As They Pose For Photos

Dolly Parton might as well be a twin as she bears an uncanny resemblance with her sister Rachel Parton George, with whom she is releasing a new cookbook this summer. Dolly took to Instagram with photos from their book cover shoot featuring them in the same blonde curly hair and coordinating outfits.

The 78-year-old was admittedly grateful to have spent quality time with her sibling, who joined her in bringing Good Lookin’ Cookin’: A Year of Meals to life. The first photo saw them sharing a laugh as they treated themselves to some pastries and a cold drink, each looking stylish in a pair of white trousers and blue tops.

More photos made it to Dolly’s Instagram grid, including one where Rachel was walking towards her in army green pants and a jean jacket. Dolly’s followers were beyond delighted to see an equally beautiful carbon copy of their favorite country singer, proving that youthfulness runs in their family. “Pretty runs in the family, All Ways’ Blessed,” a comment read.

The book cover was even more pleasing to look at, with a checkered yellow background and both ladies in the center holding up yummy cakes and more. Dolly wore a pink collared shirt and did her hair in a half updo, leaving out bangs and waves at the edge, while Rachel let most of her locks down in a side part, and wore a colorful top. “Dolly’s sister looks like her with not so big hair,” one of Dolly’s girls quipped.

Dolly swears by her sibling’s cooking, noting that they both share the idea that “good food and good times are the next best thing to pure love.” Their cookbook will be available for purchase across physical and online platforms starting September 17th; however, fans can pre-order copies via Dolly’s website.

Interestingly, there used to be a rumor that Rachel was Dolly’s daughter, whom she had at 14 with a certain Curly Dan Bailey. She addressed the allegation in her 1994 memoir titled Dolly: My Life and Other Unfinished Business. Being really young, the accusations made her consider dropping out of school, however, her mother Avie Lee taught her a lesson about self-respect. She soon learned to make humor out of allegations until they fizzle out.
