Carmen Electra showed up at the That ‘90s Show premiere in Los Angeles wearing a hot red outfit featuring a sheer top and latex bottoms that showed off her curves. She accessorized with a black purse and a matching pair of platform heels with which she strutted the red carpet gracefully.
The 52-year-old wore a full face of makeup featuring dark arched brows, dark smokey eyes, some concealer, blush, and glossy pink lips. She wore her hair in a center part with blonde and dark highlights, which added some dazzle to her skin tone as it fell to her back and shoulders.
What inspired Carmen Electra’s red latex outfit look?
It was not unusual to assume that Carmen’s red ensemble was inspired by her role as Lani McKenzie on the ’90s hit series, Baywatch, but the actress clarified that she simply threw on something from her wardrobe without much thought. She added that it was her first time wearing such an outfit, and she did not intend to induce ‘90s nostalgia with her appearance.

During a SKIMS campaign last July, she spoke about ‘90s trends making a comeback and described her reception to it as a shock because she considers her fashion back then to be “crazy.” She joked about how things she swore never to put on again have younger girls raving today.
True to herself
While she has ditched many looks from the past, Carmen remains a fan of bold eyelashes, which she began wearing while working with Prince in the ‘90s. The late music legend was her mentor figure and ex-boyfriend, who she credits for believing in her and making her famous. He also gave her the name “Carmen,” as opposed to “Tara” which she initially opted for.
She has stayed true to her lashes ever since, even when it seemed to go out of style in the early 2000s. The ageless beauty delved into other businesses aside from acting, such as skincare in 2021 and her OnlyFans account the following year. Amid criticism for joining the adult creator site in her 50s, she clapped back saying it was her chance to get creative on her terms and without regulation.
