Bo Derek Stuns In Age-Defying Ensemble At The Filming Italy Festival

Bo Derek was recently in Sardinia, Italy for the 2024 Filming Italy Awards where several stars were recognized, and lots of films, TV series, documentaries, and similar projects were displayed. Bo graced the red carpet wearing a green V-neck cardigan over a straight ankle-length dress of a similar color.

She accessorized with low silver sandals and a long statement necklace with a large star pendant hanging below her bosom. She had on off-white nail polish and minimal makeup featuring light eyeshadow and glossy pink lips, while her blonde hair stayed in a bun with a subtle side bang.

Joining Bo at the seventh edition festival were other stars like Brie Larson, Katie Holmes, Harvey Keitel, Kate Beckinsale, John David Washington, Matt Bomer, and Colman Domingo. They enjoyed local premiere viewings of several movies, including Netflix’s The Imaginary, Cult Killer, Immaculate, Wanted Man, and Rare Objects, which features Holmes as Diana Van Der Laar.

Bo posed with a gong at the festival, which the pioneer and former Taormina Film Festival chief, Tiziana Rocca, termed as an avenue to attract talents like Bo. Like other icons present, Bo delivered a masterclass to upcoming entertainers, many of whom were Italian students from the many film schools around.

Bo is most popularly known for playing Jenny Hanley in 1979’s 10, which put her on the map as a Hollywood sex symbol and talented actress. Her unforgettable appearance in the movie, with her hair in cornrows and her slender body in a fitted nude swimsuit, skyrocketed her to fame. Her performance as Jenny even earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination for New Star of the Year at the time.

Aside from acting, Bo has been a model with multiple appearances in Playboy and is highly involved in animal protection, specifically sharks. The 67-year-old loves horses, as evidenced by her Instagram page, and she serves on the California Horse Racing Board. She also advocates for disabled and injured veterans, having been surrounded by men of military background, such as her father, her stepfather, and her late husband, John Derek.
