Peter Frampton has been on the musical scene for quite a long time. He co-founded the band Humble Pie in 1969 and began his solo career in the mid-1970s. This culminated in the release of Frampton Comes Alive! in 1976, which became one of the best-selling live albums of all time. Over the years, Frampton has continually evolved as an artist, exploring various musical styles and techniques.

His talent and dedication were recognized in 2007 when he received a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album for his work on Fingerprints. In a recent interview, the 74-year-old, who is scheduled for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year, reminisced on his lengthy and illustrious career.

Speaking in an interview with PEOPLE, Frampton reflected on his extraordinary six-decade-long career, emphasizing the invaluable support he has received from the music community throughout his journey. Despite experiencing setbacks and triumphant comebacks, he expressed gratitude for the enduring encouragement that has propelled his success.

The legendary musician admitted that when he first embarked on his musical path, he never anticipated the longevity of his career. Frampton also explained that even though he was quite talented, his success as a musician resulted from luck and utmost dedication to his craft.

The singer says he is having a very amazing year

During the conversation, the 74-year-old, who recently received the Les Paul Spirit Award at a private ceremony in Nashville and is also set to join Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Mary J. Blige, Foreigner, and a handful of other music legends as an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in October, reflected that 2024 has been a great year for him so far.

Despite his health decline due to suffering from Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM), Frampton is full of hope and highly anticipates his induction into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. He claims receiving such accolades was unexpected and humbling, and he remains deeply grateful to be recognized alongside other luminaries in the industry.
