Bruce Willis’ Daughter, Tallulah, Shares More On Health Disorder With Makeup-Free Face

Demi Moore’s daughters enjoy sharing their lives on social media, with her youngest, Tallulah Willis, giving details about her skin-picking disorder via Instagram. She showed off her imperfections with makeup-free photos of herself showing severe scarring and bruises on the face, and another with fewer blemishes.

She shared her intention to “help rescue all the sweet-picked faces of the world” by telling her story and how she has managed the disorder so far. She implored her followers to take it easy on themselves, as healing does not mean clear skin, or lack of intrusive thoughts but the ability to commend oneself every day.

What skin condition does Tallulah Willis have?

Tallulah suffers from dermatillomania, also known as excoriation disorder, which causes people to compulsively pick at their skin. She also claims to have autism, explaining why she makes repeated movements or sounds called “stimming.” This was obvious in a throwback video of Tallulah and her father, Bruce Willis, where she constantly fiddles with his ears and bald head.

The 30-year-old has been candid about her struggles with body dysmorphia, admitting that she wishes to look like her mom growing up. Tallulah hated that she looked “masculine” and like Bruce and started to resent herself as a young adult. Over the years, she has learned to resist pressure from social media to look perfect and just show up as herself.

Fans react to Tallulah’s bare face photos

True to Tallulah’s caption, there was indeed a community of people who could relate to her experience, and they found it relieving to finally be open about it. “I don’t exactly pick but I pull out my chin hairs and have a tweezer obsession when I get anxious. I feel so seen,” someone gushed, with another adding that they found Tallulah’s transparency “healing.”

A few realized that their habits reflected an underlying mental health condition and thanked Tallulah for educating them. “I had no idea this was a ‘thing,’” a follower quipped. Speaking of illness, Tallulah has also been supportive of her father, Bruce, who was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia early last year, causing him to retire from acting.
