Alice Cooper fans went ballistic last weekend on noticing the “RIP Alice” phrase on their X trend table. They assumed the singer-songwriter was dead and panicked on the internet, while some dug deeper to find out who the “Alice” in question was.
Apparently, an internet-sensation goldfish named Alice died, and its growing fanbase flooded X with their tributes. To further confirm the singer is alive, Cooper shared photos of him serenading an audience in Stockholm, and fans not only found it reassuring but also adorable.
Cooper captioned his latest photos “the nightmare continues in Stockholm,” while holding his guitar and rocking a pair of jeans, a white undershirt, and his messy but pretty hair let down. Fans could not hold back on the compliments and expressed their relief in the comments.
Internet users praised his energy and good looks at 76 and echoed the slogan “Rock on!!!” several times. “KEEP ROCKIN! You look great!!!! Still on my bucket list to see you live!” someone exclaimed. “Thank you for an awesome show! It gave me so much energy and joy! A memory for life. God bless!” a concertgoer gushed.
Cooper is not leaving the scene anytime soon and appears still to have one or two decades of energy in him. He admitted to never giving retirement a thought and hopes to stay active just like Mick Jagger, who “still does three-hour shows and the soundcheck” in his late seventies. Ironically, Cooper says he has only grown more passionate with age and enjoys being “Alice Cooper” now more than ever.
He credits his success to a healthy lifestyle free of cigarettes and alcohol, noting that smoking kills the lungs, and drains energy. Cooper’s choice of a life partner has also kept him going, and he remains thankful for his stress-free life. Furthermore, having trusted buddies like Shep Gordon as manager and Bob Ezrin producing his songs has given Cooper nothing to worry about.
