Prince William attended the 80th anniversary event of the D-Day Landings in Portsmouth, England, where he met the great-granddaughter of one of the soldiers involved named Captain Alastair Bannerman. William was present with King Charles and Queen Camilla. However, Princess Kate Middleton was unavoidably absent.
William asked the World War II soldier’s descendant if she liked Red Arrows, referring to the patriotic aerial show at the event, and the lady accompanying the youngster spoke up about Princess Charlotte on her behalf.
Like many, the royal Princess does not fancy exams either, as her father revealed she is currently writing tests despite not looking forward to them. He crossed his fingers and hoped Charlotte’s school day was going well while responding to the curious little girl at the parade. Despite not liking school so much, Charlotte reportedly concentrates and performs impressively in class.
Charlotte has rarely appeared in public this year, with her last appearance being in December 2023 alongside her parents and brothers, George and Louie, for the third annual holiday carol concert. Her absence is likely related to Kate’s, as the Princess of Wales is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy since her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
It appears Charlotte is not the only one who considers exams uninteresting, as Kate shared George’s complaint about tests last October. The royal admitted that 10-year-old George often complains about having to write them “all the time” since he got to that phase at school.
Charlotte and her brothers attend Lambrook School in Ascot, England, with the little Princess rounding off her 4th year before Summer. She turned nine last month, and Kensington Palace shared a portrait of her on social media to celebrate. Charlotte was photographed wearing a big smile with her back-length hair let down in a center part while looking adorable in a wine cardigan, a navy blue shirt, and a blue jean skirt.
