Priscilla Presley, Riley Keough Come To An Agreement Over Graceland To End Family Feud

Lisa Marie Presley’s death in January 2023 did not only bring grief to the Presley household but also initiated the feud between her mother, Priscilla Presley, and her daughter, Riley Keough. Being the only known child of the Rock ‘n’ Roll king Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie inherited the famous Graceland estate in Memphis, which she reportedly passed on to her children.

However, Priscilla challenged the “authenticity and validity” of Riley’s status as trustee, along with her late brother Benjamin Keough. Priscilla and a former business manager, Barry Siegel, were co-trustees of the estate until Lisa Marie allegedly amended the trust in 2016 without Priscilla’s knowledge. The legal battle between Priscilla and Riley has lasted for about a year, but they now appear to have resolved the dispute.

Amid Lisa Marie’s burial proceedings, rumors about Priscilla suing her granddaughter went viral online but she soon denied the claims, noting that she simply made a plea to the court. Priscilla further tried to prove that the amendment was questionable because her name was incorrectly spelled, and her late daughter’s signature was different from the usual.

Priscilla issued a warning to fans, asking them to respect her privacy and allow them to work out family matters. As a wise businesswoman, Priscilla is credited with rebranding Graceland into a revenue-generating asset, which took its worth from $5 million to $500 million in about three decades. According to an insider, Priscilla was fighting for the property she took “from bankruptcy to a cash cow as one of the top tourist attractions in America.”

After a series of proceedings and varying opinions on the internet, Priscilla finally gave up on her claims to Graceland, with Riley giving her a total of $2.8 million— $1 million to concede, $1.4 million to keep running the trust, and the rest for legal fees. She issued a statement confirming that they have resolved the confusion and are willing to work together.

Priscilla’s decision to give up Graceland to Riley comes after a fraudulent lending company, Naussany Investments & Private Lending, tried to auction off the estate weeks ago. They claimed Lisa Marie had put down the property as collateral for an unpaid $3.8 million loan; however, Riley was swift to push back on their attempt. A source said Priscilla was “impressed” by how Riley took responsibility to preserve the estate. The mother of two hopes to be buried on the site, next to Elvis and her late daughter.
