Jason Alexander Looks Wild With Pink Hair Extensions As He Portrays Teenage Girl In New Commercial

Jason Alexander showed up as eight different characters, including a teenage girl with the two-toned hair extension, in a new ad for the Chefler Foods condiment brand. He opens by asking a diner waitress, “How’s the tilapia?” and he turns to himself as the waitress in a wig and uniform to say, “Never order diner tilapia, babe.”

Another Jason character enters the scene with a more terrifying voice to echo the same words. Next comes Jason as a line-order cook yelping, “Oh never!!!” and then the teenage girl with multi-colored hair repeating it with disgust.

Other diners tell a confused Jason to “Get the BLT,” and his waitress self-concurs, saying, “When there’s Mike Amazing, you get the BLT.” Jason agrees and adds Mike’s Amazing to his sandwich, and the 30-second clip ends with the line “When it’s on, it’s on” in capital letters.

Fans found the video on YouTube and shared their thoughts about the commercial in the comments. Someone suggested that the famous Seinfeld scene “with him eating a sandwich in bed would be a good second commercial,” while another simply commended his “range” in the ad. “Prolly the only ‘Seinfeld’ actor I actually like,” another quipped.

Jason enjoyed doing Mike’s Amazing commercial, as it reminded him of “all the extraordinary types of people that inhabited my neighborhood diner growing up.” He recalled the “nostalgia” he felt while filming the ad and “nibbling some pretty great sandwiches with a bunch of wonderful creatives and crew.”

The sixty-four-year-old is currently starring in Chicago Shakespeare Theater’s production of Judgment Day until June 2nd, and he is playing the “corrupt, morally bankrupt lawyer” named Sammy Campo, which he considers a “compelling” character. According to The Chicago Tribune, the play is “a wickedly funny new satire,” that promises to make the audience laugh their socks off.
