A โ50s home in New Jersey has yet to be inhabited in the last three decades, and thanks to TikTok creator Ramy, the building has been getting attention on social media. Ramy enjoys exploring abandoned habitations and often shares them with his growing internet fanbase.
Ramyโs clip of the New Jersey home, showed the living room, the dining room with a newspaper in it, a coffee cup, and a Christmas tree still up. The kitchen still had its stove with a tin of instant coffee on it, and the family photos and yearbook remained in the house.

Sharing his discovery, Ramy captioned the video writing, โexploring an abandoned 1950โs home that is just left frozen in time.โ According to him, the house was lived in until the โ80s, after the last two occupantsโ a couple, died. The newspaper on the table had its open page announcing the death of actor Walter Pidgeon in 1984.

Although Ramy confirmed that the couple passed away months apart in 1984, there were speculations that they died much before that, especially due to the paperโs dating. The post soon went viral, garnering over 96,000 likes and hundreds of comments, as well as nearly 3,000 shares.
Most users were touched by the state of the house, which looked untampered since the former residents passed. โThe family photos break my heart. Those are someone’s memories. Moments in time people wanted to capture. All just left to rot away in their abandoned home,โ someone wrote.
Others admired the items in the house, including the furniture and kitchen equipment. โThat refrigerator and stove are valuable items,โ a user noted. โSome of that furniture is gorgeous imma be mad if you donโt get it refurbished,โ another penned to Ramyโ who has visited similar houses in Italy, hotels in Egypt as well as forgotten schools and hospitals across the United States.
