Jane Seymour had jaws dropping with her recent Instagram post, featuring a throwback photo of her in a red embroidered dress while filming Ruby’s Choice. The mother of six matched her outfit with black pumps, minimal jewelry, and a big happy smile.

Her hair also looked gorgeous in a short side-part bob with streaks of silver and loose curls at the tips. “Join me this upcoming Sunday, April 28 for a special matinee show of #RubysChoiceFilm followed by a Q&A with yours truly!” she told her followers via the caption. “Here’s a behind-the-scenes throwback from set!”

Many looked forward to seeing Jane, while those with no plans of attending wished her a good time. “Too bad I can’t go, but I wish you fun with everyone,” a user wrote. “I’d like to be there but Italy is too far. Jane, can I suggest an idea that would make happy your fans? Can you organize a live on Instagram for the Q&A session?” some other person suggested.

Jane starred alongside Jacqueline McKenzie, Coco Jack Gillie, Stephen Hunter, and Rory Potter in Ruby’s Choice, which will be available for limited viewing this weekend, and via video-on-demand services in the United States and United Kingdom in May. Jane shared her thoughts on the upcoming film, which is based on a teenage girl and her grandmother with dementia played by Jane.

Having lost her uncle and ex-husband’s aunt to dementia, Jane has “lived so close to dementia for a long time and I’ve seen what it does.”

“The person who has it starts being frustrated and then it escalates before they retreat into their own world,” the 73-year-old, who actively campaigns and raises funds for Alzheimer’s research charities explained, adding that unlike other “downright depressing” films, Ruby’s Choice is “different” with a “positive” message.
