Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones’ daughter, Carys, recently took to Instagram with snaps from her uncle Joel’s wedding to his new wife, Mascha. The 20-year-old showed off her gorgeous body in a peach-colored floor-length dress, that had a plunging neckline and cutouts at the waist.
Also present at the event in Palm Springs was Michael, who officiated the ceremony. “A peachy wedding weekend,” Carys’ caption read. She shared several slides including a screenshot of Van Morrison’s “Have I Told You Lately,” which the singer released in 1989 for his nineteenth studio album, Avalon Sunset.
Reminiscent of her famous mother, Carys let down her long, lush dark hair and finished off her look with subtle makeup. Fans were blown away by her beauty and did not hold back in the comments. “Looks like you had fun!! Beautiful pics,” someone gushed followed by a heart emoji. “QUEEN,” another exclaimed.
A user referenced the third slide, saying it was their “mom and dad’s wedding song.” “That was my wedding song too,” a lady quipped. “Family weddings are wonderful. Especially if you think the couple are a good match,” someone else noted. Catherine was also present in a pink dress and shared photos of herself on her page as well, and her followers did not fail to praise her either.
Michael and Catherine welcomed Carys as their last child in 2003, and she has since grown to love the spotlight, appearing alongside her mom for high-profile fashion events featuring designers like Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, and Fendi. “Fashion has been so important in my life because my mom is like a fashion icon to me. I’m always looking through her closet,” she once said during a chat with Town And Country.
Carys also revealed that she was unaware of her parents’ fame growing up until they moved from Bermuda to New York City. “I thought my dad was a pancake maker didn’t know he was an actor. Honestly,” she told the outlet, adding that she “hated” the paparazzi and their new life at first. “I used to get really upset. They would jump on the subway and sit right in front of me. I was, like, six. I was confused.” However, Carys, who turns 21 in a few days, credits her parents for doing “a really good job of reality-checking me” and reminding her that she lives an “extraordinary life.”
