30-year-old Morgan Wallen has found himself in some hot water. The Tennessee native was arrested in Nashville after allegedly throwing a chair off of a rooftop bar. He faces felony charges, including reckless endangerment.

Chief’s Bar, where the chair came flying down from, stands six stories tall.

In an arrest affidavit, the officers say that the bar’s staff members told them it was Wallen who threw the chair. Accompanying video footage viewed by the officers reportedly shows Wallen “lunging and throwing an object off the roof.” Further testimony claims Wallen was “laughing afterward.”

The arresting officers took him in for disorderly conduct because “he created a hazardous condition by an act that served no legitimate purpose.” He had been arrested at 12:36 a.m. Subsequently, Wallen posted a $15,250 bail and was released by 3:29 a.m. Worrick Robinson, Wallen’s lawyer, confirmed knowledge of the arrest and assured Wallen is “cooperating fully with authorities.”

Davidson County Criminal Court website shares that Wallen’s next court date will be May 3. His current tour is taking him to Nissan Stadium on May 2 and 3, so Wallen would have already been in Nashville on that date.

Created by country artist Eric Church, Chief’s had just opened on Friday. The venue also acts as a restaurant and offers live music.

The last time Wallen faced trouble was in 2021 when TMZ released footage of Wallen shouting at a friend and using the n-word. Following the incident, Wallen reflected on his actions, saying, “There’s no excuse. I’ve never made an excuse. I never will make an excuse. I’ve talked to a lot of people, heard stories [about] things that I would have never thought about because I wasn’t the one going through it.”

Wallen met with Black leaders, including entertainment CEOs and members of the Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC), to whom he donated $300,000, to educate himself. Wallen was removed from several radio stations in the aftermath, but Wallen eventually enjoyed renewed popularity and success with his musical releases.
