Elizabeth Hurley wished her famous longtime friend, Elton John, a happy birthday with a throwback photo of them sharing a happy moment. Hurley wore a pink halter necklace dress, while John sported a black ensemble with thin-rimmed shades as they beamed towards the camera. “Happy Birthday, Glorious @eltonjohn,” she wrote, adding that she loves the singer.
Hurley looked gorgeous as her chestnut hair fell to her exposed shoulders. Her light makeup complimented the attention-grabbing color of her outfit. For accessories, the Bedazzled actress held a silver purse and decked her wrist with a shiny bangle that matched her earrings.
Beyond their thriving friendship, Elton is the godfather of Hurley’s son, Damian, who also penned a birthday tribute to the “That’s What Friends Are For” singer. “Birthday kisses to my beautiful godfather,” the 21-year-old wrote, accompanied by a snap of them in Elton’s Los Angeles home and another from years back, sharing a hug in the musician’s dressing room.
Per British Vogue, Hurley made sure Damian was all covered by choosing five more famous godfathers for him. The additional A-list “dads” include Elton’s husband, David Furnish, Hurley’s ex-lover, Hugh Grant, Dennis Leary, American millionaire Teddy Forstman, and Henry Dent Brocklehurst. “Elton and David have been wonderful godfathers to my son, and I know they will be wonderful parents,” Hurley said during the birth of Elton and David’s child via surrogate, Zachary Furnish-John.
Hurley and Elton are proud of their friendship and show off on multiple occasions, such as last August, while on vacation together in an undisclosed location. Also present was Furnish and shoe designer Patrick Cox, whom she mentioned in her social media post. “Balmy nights and a blissful holiday with three of my favorite humans. Thank you, @davidfurnish and @eltonjohn, for the best time, and thank you, @thepatrickcox, for being you,” she gushed.
The glamorous businesswoman wore a fuschia jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and kept her hair in loose waves that nearly covered her hoop earrings. The mother of one leaned on Elton, who opted for a purple shirt, shades, and a neck chain hanging over his collar. The post got over 54,000 likes and hundreds of comments from delighted fans. “Beautiful people,” some fan gushed.
