“Maggie May” singer Rod Stewart recently posted a snap on Instagram celebrating his 29-year-old son Liam’s victory with his ice hockey team, MK Lightning. Rod was present to support his son, Liam, as the Milton Keynes-based team won the National Cup that day. “Proud as a Father could possibly be…congratulations @mklightningihc @discostew94,” the rocker wrote.

Liam’s younger brothers, Alastair and Aiden, were also in the photo, and they joined him in posing with Rod on the rink side. While fans congratulated Liam, they could not help but point out Aiden’s resemblance to their seventy-nine-year-old dad, who flashed a warm smile in the adorable selfie.

Rod’s followers applauded Liam; however, Aiden stole the show with his face that seemed like a copy of the singer’s. “Wow, your youngest looks just like you!!!” someone exclaimed, followed by responses saying they “agree” and calling the 13-year-old a “spitting image” of Rod. “Your young son looks like a miniature Rodney,” another gushed.

Per parenting, Rod revealed the reality of fatherhood in a 2021 interview, where he admitted being a father to children with wide age gaps has been challenging. “I have to be several different fathers because of the different age groups of my kids. You really have to treat all of them as individuals with individual problems,” he admitted, adding that he is most happy to see his kids and wife, Penny Lancaster, “with big smiles on their faces.”

What is Rod Stewart up to?

Aside from being an active dad, Rod is still very much working. He recently celebrated the success of his recent album, Swing Fever, which topped the charts. “I stayed at a Prince’s Trust event and had continual Martinis until one o’clock in the morning with the three girls in my band. It was lovely,” he bragged to BBC News. Rod collaborated with his friend and co-artist, Jools Holland, on the project, which they started working on in late 2021.

The duo birthed 13 tracks after Jools joined Rod, who “started making this album in Los Angeles.” “It wasn’t turning out the way I wanted it to. I needed someone with a bit of edge, and this man came to mind. I knew all about his background,” Rod recalled, with Jools agreeing on their similarities. “We’ve come from a similar type of place of growth in London with relatives who were encouraging us and had music on,” the “This Is The Day” singer responded.
