Al Pacino On The Only Role He Regrets Turning Down To This Day

Al Pacino discovered his passion for acting at an early age, and his career has been marked by a string of memorable roles in film and stage production. His breakthrough came in 1972 when he starred as Michael Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece, The Godfather. This role catapulted him to stardom, earning him his first Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He also reprised the role in The Godfather Part II, which further solidified his status as one of Hollywood’s finest actors, earning him another Oscar nomination.

Throughout his almost six-decade career, the 83-year-old has turned down several roles, including Han Solo in Star Wars and John McClane in Die Hard. Despite turning down roles in movies that later became classic pieces, the actor only regrets not starring in the 1978 movie Days of Heaven.
