The Willis family has been celebrating Bruce Willis on his 69th birthday, and even baby Louetta is getting in on the festivities. Rumer, Louetta’s mom and the daughter of the Die Hard icon, shared a heartwarming photo of the grandfather joyfully bonding with the 10-month-old.
Rumer, 35, shares baby 10-month-old Louetta with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas. Rumer credits “some of the most magical parts of myself” coming from her parents Willis and Demi Moore. All members of their extended, blended family have been working especially closely after Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), lending itself to good days and bad.

It was a fantastic, photo-filled 69th birthday for Bruce Willis, surrounded by family. Rumer was among those who shared a series of throwbacks honoring her father and the positive impact he’s had on her life. But she also celebrated the present and gave a hopeful, uplifting glance into how Willis enjoyed his big day amidst his FTD diagnosis and subsequent retirement in recent years.

On her Instagram Stories, Rumer shared a photo of baby Louetta lounging in front of Willis. Her back is to the camera, the better to see the head of blonde hair already growing in that looks so much like mom’s. Willis is seen looking down at her grinning from ear to ear with his hands carefully and protectively near his granddaughter, who also happens to be his first grandchild at all!
“With baby Lou,” Rumer captioned the Story.
Celebrating dad
Last June marked Bruce Willis’s first Father’s Day as a grandpa, and similarly, Rumer ushered in the special occasion with a heartwarming photo of the two connecting.
“Seeing my father hold my daughter today was something I will treasure for the rest of my life,” she shared in an Instagram post last summer. “His sweetness and love for her was so pure and beautiful.”
“Papa I’m so lucky to have you and so is Lou,” she continued. “Thank you for being the silliest, most loving, coolest Daddio a girl could ask for. Best Girl Dad in the game.”
