Photos Of Gray-Haired Jackie Chan Ahead Of His 70th Birthday Sparks Conversation Among Fans

As renowned martial artist and movie star Jackie Chan approaches his 70s, a video of him recently made rounds on social media, and fans could not get over how much time had passed. The Rush Hour actor sported a full head of gray hair during a special event in Luzhou, Sichuan, and Chinese news outlets soon circulated photos of him.

Chan was present for the Intangible Cultural Heritage Sealing Ceremony, where he joked about being as “ancient” as the brewing techniques of Luzhou Laojiao. “Luzhou Laojiao’s brewing technique has a history of 700 years, and I am 70 years old,” he said.

At the event, the father of two expressed his love for Lizhou Laojiao and felt honored to attend the ceremony for the first time. The Daily Loud shared a photo from the event to X, formerly Twitter, with the caption, “Photo of legendary actor Jackie Chan ahead of his 70th birthday.” The post got over 143,000 likes and over 5,500 reposts, with fans recounting how much Chan’s martial arts movies have inspired them.

Netizens shared clips from Chan’s movies and gushed about his swift fighting moves on set. “Jackie Chan paved the way & made stunts look so easy,” someone wrote. “70th birthday? he looks good considering his age,” another observed. Many wished him a happy birthday ahead of his anniversary in April. “Happy upcoming 70th birthday to the legend,” a user quipped, while a page thanked him “for the memories and fun you made us experience.”

A cybersecurity instructor and career coach, Tolulope Michaelt, ook time to pen a heartfelt tribute to Chan while reflecting on the reality of life and aging— even with our childhood heroes. “Seeing one of the greatest actors of all time get old is really heartbreaking for me, even though getting old is a part of life,” he stated, adding that Chan was his “childhood favorite actor.”

Michael also admitted to replaying his “‘80s, ‘90s, and early 2000s movies to relive those memories. Several others agreed with Michael and wished the beloved screen god a happy year ahead.” When asked years ago if he was immortal, Chan replied saying, “Actually, no. I’m not immortal. I’m just ordinary people. I just have the guts to try everything.” He also addressed the longstanding debate about who would win if he and the late Bruce Lee had a face-off, saying Lee would win. “Let him win,” he simply said.
