Chevy Chase ‘Can’t Wait’ To Be A Grandfather As He Announces Baby On The Way

Christmas Vacation actor Chevy Chase announced that his daughter, Emily, was expecting a baby with her partner. The 80-year-old shared a photo of pregnant Emily standing in between himself and her partner while they both held her belly. “I can’t wait to be a Grandad! Congrats to my daughter,” Chevy wrote, congratulating father-to-be Alex Baglieri.

Fans were delighted about the revelation and congratulated Chevy Chase in the comments. Some guessed what gender the child could be and expressed their joy about the news. “Our Grandad Era is going to be wonderful. Lucky little baby,” a follower gushed.

Chevy’s post received over 21,000 likes and hundreds of comments, many of which were sweet reactions to Emily’s pregnancy news. “Congrats to you, Grampa! Trust me. you are going to love that first baby on the way like crazy!” someone assured the Caddyshack actor. “Congratulations to you and the whole family,” another added.

Many were certain Chevy would “be a great grandpa” and cheered him on. “Congratulations!! Best grandpa ever!!!!” digital creator Paulette Boghosian exclaimed. The fans will be right on this one as Chevy has proven himself a dedicated family man with his four kids. “My dad is the funniest and most generous and loving person I know,” Emily once testified.

Chevy shares three daughters with his third wife, Jayni, and they have been together for over four decades. Jayni had amazing things to say about her husband and father to their daughters—Cydney, Caley, and Emily—as well as his son, Bryan Perkins. “Chevy was absolutely smitten with each of our daughters, and he’s been a super loving and devoted father,” she gushed to Bedford & New Canaan Magazine.

She added that despite the fame, “our three fabulous daughters matter most to us,” and Emily affirmed, saying, “He has a huge heart, and everything he does is for us, his daughters, and our mom— whom he has been completely infatuated with since 1980. We truly couldn’t ask for a better dad.” Emily has yet to share the good news on her page. However, she recently posted an adorable family photo featuring herself, her sisters, and their parents.
