Lori Loughlin, a prominent actress, and her spouse, Mossimo Giannulli, found themselves at the center of a highly publicized college admissions scandal in 2019. The couple were accused of orchestrating a scheme involving a $500,000 bribe to secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California (USC) under false pretenses of being crew recruits, despite their lack of involvement in the sport.
Amid intense scrutiny and legal proceedings, Loughlin ultimately pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges to commit fraud. As a consequence, she faced a brief period of incarceration, serving time in prison alongside community service obligations and financial penalties. However, following her time behind bars, the Full House alum has begun to move forward with her life and even found humor in the notorious college scandal.
Lori Loughlin humors her scandal during an appearance on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’
Loughlin recently made a guest appearance on the March 10 episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, where she played a version of her real-life self who is struggling to join Los Angeles country clubs after being blacklisted due to the college scandal. She sought assistance from Larry David, who helps her join the club.

David soon regretted endorsing the actress as he discovered the truth about her reputation. Loughlin cheats on the golf course, bribing her way into better tee times and lying to receive handicap privileges, humorously referencing her scandal.
While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Curb Your Enthusiasm producer Jeff Schaffer expressed his happiness about Loughlin’s ability to bring humor out of a seemingly bad situation and praised her for putting “the past behind you.”
He also explained that the 59-year-old was happy to work on the project even though it opened up her previous scandal. Shaffer added that, “Everything we threw at her; she was game to do. She makes the episode. I’m so glad she wanted to do it.”
