Jack Nicholson’s 32-year-old son, Ray, appeared on the Academy Awards red carpet with his Victoria’s Secret model girlfriend, Sara Sampaio, who looked gorgeous in a strapless, burgundy and black Zuhair Murad dress.
The lovebirds posed with their arms wrapped around each other and shared lots of giggles, which were heartwarming to see. Photos from the event went up on Sara’s Instagram page, and some of Ray’s fans took to her comments to express their admiration. “My Favorite Couple,” someone gushed.
Jack Nicholson’s lookalike son Ray makes his red carpet debut
Following in his father’s footsteps, Ray has pursued an acting career, starring in movies Something from Tiffany’s, The Benchwarmers, and Panic and co-starring with Diane Kruger in the 2022 Neil LaBute film Out of the Blue. His on-screen debut was a minor role in 2006’s The Benchwarmers, where he played “Kid Catcher #1 Game #2,” and he did not act until the 2010s.

Ray is not well acquainted with the public eye, particularly social media. However, you can catch him at a Lakers game with his actor dad. Per his experience on the set of Out of the Blue, he told ScreenRant he “poured everything that I had at the time into it. It was a really wonderful thing to know that I didn’t have to give anything more than I was capable of giving…I hope that it showed up.”
Jack is a proud father of Ray, and they have a close relationship. They are often seen together at Lakers games. “We’ve always gotten along. I want to be inspirational or some kind of good influence on them without overburdening them. It’s their time of life to find out who they are,” he told AARP magazine.
As expected of any father, Jack also noted that he set up his kids — Jennifer and Lorraine Nicholson, Caleb Goddard, Honey Hollman, Tessa Gourin, and, of course, Ray — to get comfortable with the creative space. “I always read to them, from childhood on; I think that’s a father’s responsibility. I took them to things I knew they might not love; opera, ballet,” he said. “They like going to the ball games with me. And they are very comfortable around show business; they are good set rats.”
