The recently released movie poster for SMILE 2 has got fans talking as Jack Nicholson’s son, Ray Nicholson, looks just like his actor dad. The creepy-looking sequel announcement showed a sliced-up black-and-white image of Ray, who looks straight at the camera with an eerie smile.
The poster reads that SMILE 2 will be out in theaters by October 18, and fans cannot wait to see what Ray is bringing to the big screen. The 32-year-old, last starred as Finn in I Love You Forever, will also appear in the upcoming movie Borderline, alongside Eric Dane and Salma Batista.

The comments ran wild after the now-viral poster, which has about 7 million views, went up on X. “I immediately knew this was Jack Nicholson’s son without knowing he had kids lmao wow, the way it’s giving the shining and the way he looks so much like his dad in that poster,” someone gushed.

More commended the poster concept as a nod to Jack, who gave the same look in a popular moment from The Shining. “The smile is making a return! I’m excited to see what terrifying moments are in store for Smile 2,” another fan wrote in anticipation.
Father and son
Scary movies aside, Jack and Ray share an adorable father-son relationship, as they are often spotted at Lakers games together. Jack also recalled instilling creativity into Ray and his siblings, Jennifer, Caleb, Honey, Lorraine and Tessa, at a young age through reading, opera and ballet.
He also called his kids good set rats and commended Ray for his staunch determination, which has been evident in his career. He revealed that his son always takes care of business with or without his input and goes hard at whatever he sets his heart on.
