Hollywood Icon Tippi Hedren ‘Has No Memory Of Acting Career’ As She Battles Dementia

Tippi Hedren began her journey as a fashion model in the 1950s before catching the attention of acclaimed filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, who gave her starring roles in his iconic 1963 thriller film The Birds and Marnie. Despite her brilliant performance, tensions brewed due to Hitchcock’s reputedly domineering demeanor, which had a detrimental impact on her professional trajectory. Following her break from Hitchcock, she continued her career, taking up roles in various projects like A Countess from Hong Kong, Five Against Kansas, Tiger by the Tail, and The Harrad Experiment.

Hedren eventually stepped away from acting to focus on her Shambala Preserve, an 80-acre sanctuary dedicated to caring for and preserving lions and tigers. Recently, Hedren made the news again as a report recently emerged claiming that the 94-year-old currently battles dementia, a severe cognitive disease.

A Spanish journalist Gustavo Egusquiza shared that he learned that Hedren is battling with dementia during his attempt to interview the actress. However, the reporter’s request was declined by her representatives, who cited Hedren’s health condition as the major reason.
