Demi Moore recently appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show with other Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans cast members. She joined her co-stars wearing a black cardigan, matching short-sleeved top, black-and-white leather mini skirt with sky-blue stilettos, along with her hair in a straight central part. She shared the moment on Instagram with the caption, “The women of @feudfx take @thedrewbarrymoreshow. Loved being with this incredibly amazing and talented group of women! Thank you, Drew!”

The mother of three seems to have opted for a color-coordinated outfit since promoting the limited series, as she wore another black and white Dolce and Gabbana dress with sheer stockings and ALEVI Milano high heels to an event in late January. Her stylist, Brad Goreski, shared videos of Demi Moore on his page, and fans could not get enough of her gorgeousness.

Demi’s followers noticed how youthful she looked at 61, and while some praised her, others alleged that she had cosmetic enhancements done. “Women are dragged on the internet for our looks, especially as we age. Someone looks beautiful with help but still herself and she’s trolled, bullied?” a concerned user wrote in defense of the actress. “And the most disheartening are younger women who bash her, shame on you! Be better, and control your insecurity and jealousy, life’s too short.”

Demi Moore’s thriving family

Behind the scenes, Demi’s thriving Hollywood career has involved crucial decisions, hard work, and balancing her career with family. She and Die Hard actor Bruce Willis got married in 1987; however, their union only lasted for a decade, leaving Demi to cater for her three girls — Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah — alone. “We have three children whom we will continue to raise together, and we’re probably as close now as we ever were,” her ex-husband once said. “We realize we have a lifelong commitment to our kids. Our friendship continues.”

Despite Bruce’s support, Demi had to become a full-time mom to raise the kids — which is ironic, because she split from Bruce because she refused to give up acting for the family. “What he meant was that our life wouldn’t work if I was engrossed in something outside of our family,” she explained. “I felt way too much anxiety to have a real conversation with Bruce about our assumptions regarding work, gender roles, and parenting.” She took a work hiatus in the late ’90s to spend time with the girls at her Idaho home, and thankfully, she has no regrets about her choice today, because “being a mother felt totally natural” to her. “It’s one of the few things I can confidently say I was innately good at,” she added.

Her children have grown to become successful women in their thirties with show business-focused careers as well. Demi’s eldest daughter, Rumer, once reflected on her mother’s difficult decision years ago with gratitude. “I didn’t realize until I got older,” the 35-year-old said. “She was at the peak of her career, and she left to take care of us.”

Thanks to Demi’s sacrifices, the Willis family has proven stronger than ever, particularly after Bruce was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia early last year. Demi gets along well with Bruce’s new family with Emma Hemming, and they’ve spent time together on several occasions. “I’m grateful for the grounding that being away from Hollywood gave them. As to being back, I’m still learning too. Can I say that I’ll look back and everything was the right choice? I’m sure I won’t,” she admitted. “But that’s part of understanding that none of us are perfect, and I’ve never been exactly in the place that I am right now.”

As a family, they are jointly supporting Bruce and raising awareness about his rare condition as well. “This is a really challenging time for our family, and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion, and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit,” Demi announced on Instagram last March.

Demi’s daughters have become women with careers and growing families of their own. Rumer and her partner, Derek Richard Thomas, welcomed their first child, Louetta Isley Thomas, last April, and thanks to sound parenting from her folks, Rumer has an idea of how to raise the new baby. Having had a fun and “silly” childhood, she wants to replicate that with Louetta as she develops.

“I think what I love about both of my parents is they really cultivated our imagination and the freedom of our expression,” she told The New York Post in a recent interview, adding that they “were allowed to wear whatever we wanted to school.”

“I have a photo of me where I’m wearing black-and-white striped tights with a tutu and a red suede fringe jacket. And that’s what we got to wear to school. We got to be so silly,” she recalled. Rumer and her sisters were free to be themselves, although it involved exploring some rather gross activities like “where we would lick each other’s faces” and “all bathe together. There was just a kind of crazy, silly, weirdo, goofy, naked house. I think that silliness and goofiness are so deeply a part of me, and it’s really what I want to help cultivate in my daughter’s life.”

Now that she is a grandmother, Demi loves spending time with the new baby, which greatly warms Rumer’s heart. “I think inherently, some of the most magical parts of myself are definitely from them. So, I feel like that will be passed down to her. I love watching them with her,” the Now And Then actress said of her parents. “They love her so much. It’s such a joy to see. They’re just obsessed with her.”

In addition to the knowledge gained from her upbringing, Rumer admits that she would incorporate new systems into her budding family. “There’s so much that we have access to that our parents didn’t,” she explained. “We’re discovering how we want a parent, and how we’re taking certain things from our parents, but also how we’re kind of forming new things for ourselves.” Demi claims she is “entering my era of crazy, unhinged, hot grandma,” as she noted after Rumer’s pregnancy announcement in 2022.
