The 66th Grammy Awards ended on a wholesome note, with singer-songwriter Billy Joel performing his first song in three decades. The iconic musician wowed the audience with a rendition of his new track, “Turn The Lights Back On,” released on February 1, 2024.

Joel’s last Grammy solo act was in 1994 following the release of his The River Of Dreams album; however, he has maintained a 10-year residency at the Madison Square Garden, New York, where he has performed over 150 times.

Another added that the “piano man” is “still absolutely crushing it at 74.” “Billy Joel is the goat,” they quipped. “Man, Billy Joel still got it,” another added. After Joel’s first go, he returned after Taylor Swift received her award for best album to end the event.

More of Joel to come

The father of three may headline the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage with his girls. “The biggest mover over the last few days is Billy Joel. The New York star has just released some new music and many punters believe he will on the Pyramid Stage this summer,” Coral Bookmakers told Express Online.

Billy Joel performs in concert at Madison Square Garden on November 5, 2021 in New York City.

Other considerations include Coldplay, Dua Lipa, and Madonna, who is least likely to get opted for. “We think Coldplay and Dua Lipa are the most likely to be confirmed as headline acts for Glastonbury this year. They are both long odds-on in our betting,” they explained, adding that “Madonna’s odds continue to drift out.”

“She still looks to be in the mix, but it would be no surprise if details were still being ironed out with the Queen of Pop,” they told the outlet.
