Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth blew hot at the bandโs bassist Wolfgang Van Halen, who is also Eddie Van Halenโs son. David exposed some of Wolfgangโs inadequacies during the tour, noting that he was complaining the entire tour. โThis fโinโ kid,โ he exclaimed.
According to David, Wolfgang is fond of complaining to everybody around meโ- the business manager, the security guy, the clothing lady. โHeโs complaining the entire tour like Iโm not paying enough attention to him on stage,โ he added.

During Davidโs verbal rampage, he recalled how Wolfgang โcommandeered a couple of monkeys to go in back, behind my back, over to the side of the stage and throw out these two great dames that I invited to be my guests to the showโ during a show in New York. โIn fact, you arenโt gonna believe this sโ. This fโinโ kid,โ David exclaimed.

David claimed that Wolfgang, like his uncle, โstiffedโ people for tickets in the past. Wolfgang has come forward in the past to address assumptions people have of him due to his parentโs fame. โWith the name or just having the parents that I have, people assume that Iโm an unmotivated person who is just comfortable in doing nothing and coasting on what has come before with what my name entails. And Iโm anything but that,โ he told Billboard.
The Van Halen feuds
Van Halen has not always been a band without disputes, particularly since David himself pulled out in the โ80s and returned in 1996 only to see himself out again. Sammy Hagar also left in 1996 after joining in 1985, however, he returned briefly in 2003.
In 2007, Eddie replaced founding bandmate Michael Anthony with Wolfgang, who became a member of the group until his father died in 2020, and they split up. The groupโs feud became more obvious when only Sammy and Anthony showed up during their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
