It’s that time of year again, as family, friends, and especially Full House co-stars gather to celebrate Bob Saget‘s death anniversary. The actor played Danny Tanner, family patriarch in the American sitcom and its sequel Fuller House. Sadly, in January 2022 Saget was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Florida, while on his stand-up tour.

For this year’s remembrance, which marks Saget’s second death anniversary, his wife, colleagues, and friends have taken to their social media to pay tribute to the late star and celebrate his enduring legacy.

Stamos expressed deep sorrow in his tribute, reflecting on the loss of his friend and recalling the profound absence he has felt since Saget’s passing. “I guess what I’m trying to say is, I miss him  A lot  Every day  But I’m also grateful for the time we had, for the laughs, for the friendship,” he wrote. “He was one of a kind, and I was lucky to call him my friend.” Many fans in the comments noted that while everyone seemed tearful in grief, Stamos seemed to be struggling the most.

Also, Saget’s wife of three years, Kelly Rizzo, took to her Instagram to share a picture of her late husband while paying an emotional tribute to him. “2 years. Wow. Simultaneously feels like a week and an eternity,” she wrote in the caption.”I chose this photo of Bob as not only was it the last photo he shared and one of the last texts he sent me, but it perfectly encapsulates how he would want all of us to remember him with his guitar, on a stage, doing what he loved to do…making people laugh…making people happy.”

She also expressed gratitude for the time spent with the legend and advised her followers to care for their loved ones. “It is such a gift I was able to know his complete and all-encompassing love and heart, I’m still blown away by the fact that Bob hasn’t faded from all of your hearts in the slightest. It means so very much. Thank you for allowing me to still share Bob, and thank you all for continuing to keep his memory alive,” she added. “Once again, please do as Bob would do and hug your loved ones, hold them tight, and tell them over and over again that you love them.”
