TODAY co-anchor Hoda Kotb shared a heartwarming Christmas photo with her daughters, Haley and Hope. 6-year-old Haley and her little sister were in a jolly mood as they posed with their mother in matching red outfits.
Hoda captioned the post “Merry Merry” with several festive-themed emojis as she showed off some holiday joy. She also posted a photo of her girls standing next to an inflatable snowman over the weekend. “No snow… no problem!” she wrote with heart emojis.
More mother-daughter moments
At the start of the month, Hoda was already setting up Christmas decorations with her kids, whom she shares with Joel Schiffman. The three ladies surrounded their Christmas tree as Haley reached out to fix a star on top.

They also worked together to put up more ornaments like stockings and window decor. “Tis the season,” the caption read. Fans commented on the tree, calling it “amazing” and “beautiful,” amongst other compliments. “Aww, you got a big tree this year. It’s so pretty!” someone said. “Love the Christmas decorations, and the girls look so happy,” another noted.
Hoda’s thoughts on motherhood
Hoda became a mom in her fifties after adopting Haley and Hope with her ex-fiance, Joel, the couple breaking up last year after nearly a decade together. In a recent interview with People, the TV personality shared her reason for having children later in life, noting that she feels no shame about it. “I am so happy and fulfilled with my decision that I don’t feel any ounce of shame,” she said.
The 59-year-old journalist admitted to having concerns about how much time she has left with the girls due to her age; however, she is learning to focus on the bright side, which includes the confidence and experience that comes with aging. “I see all the good parts about being an older mom. Like, I’m in my own skin, I know who I am, I’ve got much more patience and love and all that stuff,” she added.
