Dolly Parton Fulfills ‘Impossible’ Wish Of Cancer Patient In Most Heartwarming Way

Celebrated for her philanthropic endeavors, Dolly Parton recently extended a kind gesture to one of her fans, LeGrand Gold. Despite bravely confronting stage four colorectal cancer for the last two years, Gold held a poignant desire on his bucket list to witness the legendary singer serenading him, a dream he had thought was nearly impossible.

In a touching display of compassion, the 77-year-old not only fulfilled the heartfelt wish of her superfan but also reaffirmed her caring nature. The emotional moment was beautifully captured in a video that has since gone viral on YouTube.

Parton, who made headlines with her debut rock album Rockstar, entering the Billboard 200 at No. 3, and earned her place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, engaged in a captivating phone conversation with Gold. To conclude their interaction, she delighted the Utah-based man by singing and playfully incorporating his nickname at the end. “I will always love you, I always love LG,” Parton crooned.

Brimming with excitement, Gold enthusiastically conveyed to KSL, a local NBC affiliate, that he was very happy with the stellar performance delivered by his idol. “She sang me a song, put my name in the song,” he told the news outlet. “I feel like I’m immortal now.”

She expresses gratitude at being able to fulfill LeGrand Gold’s wish

In the clip, Gold reclined on the bed as Parton conversed with him over the phone. During their exchange, the singer conveyed her delight, appreciating the fan’s enduring dedication to both herself and her artistic endeavors. “I’m just happy to know I’ve got a fan that devoted and that I’ve had a chance to walk that journey all these years,” she stated. “I heard you’ve been a fan of mine for many years, and I just want to thank you for that.”

She also expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to interact with Gold while emphasizing how fulfilling it was to play a role in realizing his wish. “I’m just happy that we got to kind of have our journey together in this lifetime,” she admitted. “I always want to make people happy with my music and with the things I do and the things I say, and I’m just happy to know that I’ve touched your life in some way. So thank you for honoring me with that.”
