Cher is known for her unbothered disposition towards aging; however, the iconic singer recently revealed she does not enjoy getting older. On the 25th anniversary of her ‘90s hit song, “Believe,” she told Today she was not excited about the milestone. “It’s not that amazing. It pisses the f— out of me,” she said.
The 77-year-old claimed that unlike her mother, Georgia Holt, she is not friends with aging. “I’d give anything to be 70 again!” Cher remarked. She also said back in September that she “can’t believe I will be 80 at some point,” much sooner than she wants.
Cher won’t be going gray
Cher has no plans to rock graying hair anytime soon; she assured fans that her hair will continue to remain lush and dark as they have known it to be. “Going gray is fine for other girls. I’m just not doing it,” she said.

She also promised to maintain her style for as long as she wants, despite rising criticism as of late. “I will still be wearing my jeans, and I will still be wearing long hair, and I will still be doing the same stuff I’ve always done,” she insisted.
Cher’s guide to youthfulness
Dreading aging or not, Cher feels quite youthful on the inside, thanks to her perspective and friends. “I don’t know if not feeling old makes you younger. I keep up with the trends. I have lots of young friends. I have old friends too,” she told PEOPLE.
She also credits her “pretty amazing” genes for contributing to her gorgeousness. “Honestly, I’m not trying to feel young. I’m not trying to be young. I am who I am. I’m just getting along,” the Moonstruck actress, who is dating young music executive Alexander AE Edwards, added.
