Jamie Lee Curtis spared no time getting back to the gym after Thanksgiving. The scream queen shared a full-body mirror selfie showing off her fit body in a black workout two-piece and no makeup as she wore a hearty smile. “The morning after. Back to it…ACCEPTANCE of 65,” her caption read.
The actress turned 65 recently and celebrated with a four-slide Instagram post that featured her gorgeous film-themed birthday cake. Fans were inspired by Jamie’s dedication to enjoying her older years, and they expressed their delight in her comments section.
A follower pointed out Jamie’s legs and could not help but gush with praise. “Dude! Those legs! WTF?” they exclaimed, with another agreeing, “We are here for it!” “You are beautiful and, more important, inspiring. It’s hard getting comfortable with aging— but I’m working on it, and this gives me a nice boost in the right direction,” a motivated follower wrote.
Someone else commended the movie star for embracing her natural hair as she aged, unlike most of her industry counterparts who colored their tresses. “Not coloring your hair years ago was so inspiring. I think you were the only gal in Hollywood who didn’t. You look fabulous!!!!” they said. “My inspiration to go gray as well!” another responded.
Last year, Jamie opened up about aging as a woman in Hollywood on the Today With Hoda And Jenna show. “I think over the years of trial and error, a lot of therapy, a lot of sobriety, that now I am made for Jamie. I feel good in my skin, in my mind, in my body,” she told the show host. “I did plastic surgery. I put Botox in my head. Does Botox make the big wrinkle go away? Yes. But then you look like a plastic figurine.”
She also touched upon battling Vicodin addiction for a decade following her cosmetic procedures. Jamie now intends to look her age regardless of critics and expectations. “Maybe the more movies I get to make where people go, ‘Oh, she looks like an old lady,’ okay, it’s all good. Aging is what happens. We’re human,” she said.
