Thanksgiving is a time for families to dine together with gratitude, and it was no different for the Willis family. Bruce Willis’ second daughter, Scout LaRue, gave a glimpse into their family time on her Instagram stories with a video of her dad taking her hand. “My guy,” the snap simply read.
Scout looked into the camera as she extended her hand toward the Die Hard actor, who looked down briefly and returned the gesture, making Scout visibly happy. The 32-year-old shared another clip shortly after while resting her head in Bruce’s palm. She wore a white floral top with puffed sleeves, while her dad spotted a sports shirt and gray beanie.

Bruce’s wife of 14 years, Emma Hemming, also took to Instagram to celebrate Thanksgiving with a flashback photo featuring her and the kids with Bruce, his ex-wife Demi Moore, and their children. Scout’s boyfriend, Jake Miller was also present, and sister Rumer Willis with her beau, Derek Richard Thomas. “I’m grateful and thankful to know this kind of love,” she wrote. “Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving.”

A few days into the holiday, Rumer posted a childhood photo of her in Bruce’s arms, stating how much she missed her dad. Fans took the comments to comfort her and share their relatable stories as well. “Hugs. It’s an odd kind of hard to miss someone who is still here. Dementia is a cruel beast,” someone wrote with a heart emoji. “He loves you so much, too,” another reassured Rumer.
Fans miss Bruce on screen
Scout’s Thanksgiving day clip broke the hearts of many fans who miss watching the iconic actor in movies. “Nah! That’s some painful stuff. Really gonna be missed on screen!” someone painfully admitted. “Thank you, Bruce. For all the entertainment you gave us. You’ve been one of my favorite action stars since I was little. Life sucks, but make sure to make the best of it, yall. We never know what our future holds,” another added.
It’s just heartbreaking! 😢 This is what Bruce Willis looks like now – he was diagnosed with frontal-temporal dementia a year and a half ago.

A fan also noted that Bruce no longer recognized Scout’s mother, whom he split from in 2000. “The actor can no longer read or speak, and he also stopped recognizing his ex-wife, Demi Moore. Demi admitted that she was heartbroken after meeting Bruce Willis,” they explained. Others promised to remember the former film legend and his family in their prayers as he deals with Frontotemporal Dementia.
