Also, Ione Skye, who had the privilege of sharing the screen with Perry in the 1998 film A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, fondly reminisced about the profound friendship she had with the late actor and their last interaction.

While paying her tributes, Skye took to Instagram to share details about her last conversation with Perry, which transpired shortly before his untimely demise. In the text dated October 15, the duo, who seemed to have struck quite a friendship, had lovely words for each other.

Perry wrote, “Hi! I hope all is well. I was meditating (I meditate now), and ‘In Your Eyes’ started playing. And I instantly thought of how beautiful you are,” to which Skye responded with “Awe. I love that. Xo,” while the late actor replied with, “Hope you are healthy and happy.”
“Yes, I am both. I think! Good to hear from you. I only have nice memories with you,” Skye replied and the chat ended with Perry saying, “Me too. That one afternoon, I was just sitting in my apartment and there you were!”

Apart from Skye, several other colleagues of the late actor, like Hank Azaria and Shannen Doherty, have also taken to their social media to share their love for Perry since his demise.

“Matthew and I became really good friends and we were really more like brothers for a long time,” Azaria said in an Instagram video. “We drank a lot together, we laughed a lot together, we were there for each other in the early days of our career.”
“Our friendship spanned a long time. A lifetime really,” Doherty wrote on Instagram. “Right now, shock and sadness prevail.”
