During a recent interview with CNN, her publicist shared a noteworthy revelation concerning the tragic passing of the She’s the Sheriff actor. Couri Hay disclosed that despite the rumors circulating regarding the circumstances leading up to the actress’s demise, she was, in fact, in high spirits and eagerly anticipating the celebration of her upcoming birthday.

“There are a lot of reports and rumors about her being in hospice, it’s totally untrue,” the publicist told the news outlet. “Suzanne was expecting to eat copious amounts of cake on her birthday, which is today.”

Couri Hay says her death was unexpected

Couri Hay further shared an insightful revelation regarding Somers’ health, highlighting the paradox between her apparent weakness in the week leading up to her 77th birthday celebration and her meticulous preparations for the event. “She just wanted to eat cake with her family at her home in Palm Springs,” he admitted to CNN.

He also emphasized the element of surprise surrounding Somers’ passing, explaining that neither her family nor the dedicated health professionals responsible for her care had any inkling or forewarning of her impending demise. “Nobody thought she was going to pass away, it was unexpected, Couri Hay added. “We’re not saying she was going to dance on the table, but no one expected her to go that night.”
