Candace Cameron Bure Congratulates “Amazing” TV Sister Ashley Olsen Becoming A Mom

The house just got a bit fuller! Just a few months ago, Ashley Olsen quietly gave birth to her first child, shared with artist Louis Eisner. Their baby boy is a son Olsen and Eisner named Otto and her longtime colleague Candace Cameron Bure has nothing but words of joy for her on this exciting occasion.

Ashley is known for playing Michelle Tanner, along with her twin sister Mary Kate, in Full House, in which Bure played older sister DJ. She has kept both her relationship and the birth of her first child quiet. However, as news gradually broke, Bure has confidently expressed her belief that Ashley will do brilliantly as a mother.

These big milestone developments for Olsen have been hard to pin down, which has been by design, as both she and Eisner favor privacy. Indeed, Page Six reports that just around 50 people attended their December 28 wedding last year, which was held at a private home in Bel Air.

But upon finding out, Bure was ecstatic for Olsen, telling E! News, “Ashley’s gonna be an amazing mom.” She teasingly added, “My kids are so old now, so I even forget what diapers are like.” Bure herself is a mother of three; she shares Natasha, Lev, and Maksim with husband Valeri.

Bure and the rest of the family welcome the newest Olsen

Bure recalled being bombarded by advice left and right when she became a young parent. “There was so much feedback. People were in my ears about what was right and what was wrong.” Ultimately, she found, “Different things work for different people. Every life is different. No two people have the exact same experience. So go to the people you love and trust most… and really tune out the rest.”

For the older generation, seeing the baby of the family now become a parent has a whole other layer of shock to it.

“Boy, time flies,” marveled Dave Coulier, who played Uncle Joey. “I think of these guys as my kids and so, Mary-Kate and Ashley [all grown up] are like, ‘Holy smokes!'”

By time of writing, no further details about the child have been shared and as of August 15, the family has not responded to a request for comment by PEOPLE.
