John Stamos celebrated his 60th birthday with a trip down memory lane on his Instagram page. One of the clips featured his late friend and co-star, Bob Saget, giving a heartfelt speech on his 50th birthday at the time. “John, I love you a lot. You deserve so much happiness,” Saget said at the time.
The last part of the slide was a sweet photo of John, his wife, Caitlin, and their 5-year-old boy, Billy, enjoying the beach. Billy sat on his dad’s lap while Caitlin lay on John’s knee. “Looking back on some of my favorite birthday memories over the years. Tomorrow is 60,” John captioned the post.

In one of the videos, Tom Hanks got up to sing and danced while John sat clapping his hands at his friend’s mini-performance. Members of the Full House cast were also featured in another video dated August 18, 1989. Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier, and Saget were present and sang “Happy Birthday” to John.

John also shared a cheeky photo from his 40th birthday where he stood next to a cake that read, “Happy 40th birthday, You old fart!” Dave commented on the post with three heart emojis, writing, “Love you, brother. See you soon!” while Candace exclaimed, “You make 60 look gooooooood.”
He and Saget were very close friends
John and Saget became very close while filming Full House. Sadly, Saget died early last year at 65 in his hotel room following one of his comedy shows. His death resulted from blunt head trauma, according to the autopsy report. “I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much, Bobby,” John tweeted last year after learning of Saget’s sudden passing.
John is set to release his memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, in October. The actor said he started writing after Saget died and when he became a father at 54. “If You Would Have Told Me is the book I never planned to write, but after losing Bob, finally becoming a father, and wanting to honor all the colorful people who have made me who I am today, I figured, if not now, when?” he said.
