Chick-fil-A has added two new items to its menu and customers will be able to order these at any outlet of the fast food chain starting August 28. The recent additions consist of the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich and the Caramel Crunch Milkshake.
The sandwich has a different feel from the original, while the Caramel Crunch Milkshake makes the menu a perfect meal for the fast food chain’s customers. Chick-fil-A made the announcement on their website, which features details about the sandwich and drink.
The three ingredients of the “Pimento” chicken sandwich are jalapenos, pimento cheese, and honey. They were chosen by Chick-fil-A chef Stuart Tracy to “take the original in a new direction.” The sandwich is basically the original’s filet topped with creamy pimento cheese and pickled jalapenos in a toasted bun drizzled with honey.
According to the announcement, the goal was to maintain the authentic taste of what Chick-fil-A lovers have been used to, but with a whole new feel. “We wanted to create a standout sandwich that would deliver a unique spin for our guests without losing the classic taste of the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich,” Chef Tracy said.
The post revealing the menu additions also detailed that the cheese is custom-made by the fast food chain, and the jalapenos are specially sourced. “We hope to deliver a new and exciting sandwich our guests will love,” it reads.
Chef Tracy also assured customers of a fun and quality eating experience this fall. “The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich uses ingredients and flavors our guests have never experienced at Chick-fil-A before, balancing savory, sweet, and spicy elements using the highest quality ingredients,” he said.
The Caramel Crunch milkshake features butterscotch caramel flavors, Chick-fil-A “Icedream”, and blondie crumbles topped with classic whipped cream and cherry.
