The director further stated that the late “In the Ghetto” crooner’s daughter was so disturbed that she called him up asking about the rumors about her father being alive.

Binder further disclosed that he advised her not to overthink the matter. “Lisa called me up one day and said she was very disturbed with all these rumors going around that Elvis may still be alive,” he explained to the news outlet. “This was when she was still married to Michael Jackson. She wanted to take on the press, but I advised her not to do that. I said, ‘That’s what they want you to do. Just let it happen and it’ll eventually burn out.’ Which it did.”
