In recent weeks, rumors have been circulating about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex considering divorce. Some individuals alleged that the royal couple had been leading separate lives, with Prince Harry reportedly staying in a hotel. Other sources claimed that Meghan Markle spent most of her time in Los Angeles while Harry cared for their children.
However, Meghan’s former friend, Lizzie Cundy, dismissed the claims regarding their relationship and shared her perspective on the matter. Cundy believes the rumors indicate that there are potential issues in their marriage.
Lizzie Cundy gives her opinion about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship
In her interview with the Mirror, Cundy shared that she does not want the couple to get separated. “I don’t want to see any couples split up when any marriage falls apart it’s sad, especially when you have children,” she admitted. “We could all see the writing was on the wall, it’s very different when you’re a celebrity princess than being a royal princess and frankly Meghan just wasn’t up for the job.”

Nevertheless, she further disclosed that her friend was not fully prepared for her role as the wife of the English prince. “She didn’t want to put the hard work in opening hospitals and doing all the roles that royals do, it’s not easy, it’s not glamorous, it’s not like on the red carpet,” Cundy confessed. “I think Meghan thought she was going to be the top dog star of the show, and Princess Kate was always going to have that role.”
Lizzie Cundy says a possible separation would benefit Prince Harry the most
While discussing the possibility of a potential split, Cundy expressed her belief that a separation might ultimately be better for Prince Harry. “I think it will be in some respects better for Harry,” she detailed. “We’ve got to look at it from Harry’s side he’s in California now, he’s got none of his friends.”
She further concluded that it would be a good idea for the Duke so he would be able to mend his relationship with his family. “He’s got no family, he’s got a rift with his father and his brother,” Cundy said. “It must be very lonely at times.”
