Significant transformations are on the horizon for Wheel of Fortune following Pat Sajak’s retirement announcement after an impressive 40-year tenure of hosting the game show. To fill Sajak’s spot, the show’s executive recently announced that Ryan Seacrest would be stepping in as the new host.
Also, Vanna White will continue her role on the puzzle board, ensuring her presence remains intact when the new season commences in September 2024. In line with the recent development, viewers, and lovers of the show argued that the hosting role should have gone to a familiar face on the show.
Wheel of Fortune fans hoped Pat Sajak’s daughter would take on a recurring role on the beloved game show. “They should let you be the new host,” a fan wrote. “I still think you should take over for your Dad.”
“I was so bummed when you weren’t selected to take over for your dad,” another person said. “I certainly hope the show’s producers are smart enough to have you take over for Vanna.”

Asides from her father’s impressive legacy on Wheel of Fortune, Maggie has also garnered a significant following, having made several appearances on the show. In 2020, she took on White’s role for a week while her dad recovered from surgery.
