Thank you for a magical memory,” one said. Others had no words and shared GIFs to express excitement and praise the actress.
Laura’s thoughts on aging and being a young actress
Laura began acting at 15 and played Dr. Ellie Sattler at 23. Ellie’s love interest in the movie, played by Sam Neill, was twenty years older than her. The pair spoke about the controversial age gap in 2022, leaving many in shock at how Laura pulled off the role by looking mature for her age, that they did not notice the age gap.
“I am 20 years older than Laura! Which at the time was a completely appropriate age difference for a leading man and lady! It never occurred to me until I opened a magazine, and there was an article called ‘Old geezers and gals,'” Neill said during the interview, citing age gap romances in Hollywood.
Per aging, 56-year-old Laura believes there is “beauty in age” and is optimistic about natural aging. “It’s very sexy to look in the mirror and go, ‘Oh, here’s what I look like now versus before, and I’m gonna fucking go with it. I’m gonna honor it.'” she told Allure magazine in 2020.
