Since officially taking on the role of co-host for the popular game show Jeopardy! in July 2022, Mayim Bialik has frequently encountered online criticism from viewers, with many of them claiming that she is not “a good fit” for the position of Jeopardy! host.
Nevertheless, despite the constant backlashes she receives, the show has consistently supported and stood by her. Michael Davies, Jeopardy!’s executive producer, previously reiterated the outstanding abilities of both Bialik and Jennings. “Mayim and Ken are both extraordinarily talented and simply lovely humans,” he admitted. “They support the staff and each other. They love and respect this institution of a television program. In return, the staff and I are honored to work alongside them.”

Recently, Bialik opened up to her fans about the challenging insecurities she confronts on a personal level while answering a fan who questioned her on how she reacts when she is frustrated. “Great question, I do feel that way, and it’s kind of a hard question to answer because I know from where I’m sitting, obviously, I have a platform and I get to talk to people,” Bialik confessed.

“I would say I am grateful I have the opportunity to be here, and I’m still a human and I often feel like what I’m doing is not what I’m supposed to be doing, or I’m not doing it well enough, or I’m not reaching enough people, or I’m not doing it right, or I look stupid, just name the thing and I think it,” she shared further.
Mayim Bialik shares how she copes with the feeling of worthlessness
The show host revealed that the feeling of sadness can be combatted by having good people in one’s corner to cheer them up. “Some people like to surround themselves with people who will not make them feel useless, irrelevant, and worthless, but because I’m an actor person,” Bialik noted. “I grew up in a world where everyone was like, ‘You’re amazing,’ and it’s sometimes hard for me to lean into believing people.”
However, Bialik stated that she employs different approaches, such as practicing positive affirmations and engaging in cognitive behavioral therapy. She often finds solace in physical movement, meditation, and other activities to support her well-being.
