The contentious legal battle between Priscilla Presley and her granddaughter Riley Keough challenging the will of Lisa Marie Presley has been resolved through a settlement. According to the agreement reached, Keough remains the sole trustee of her late mother’s trust and the sub-trusts for her younger sisters as well as the ownership of Graceland estate.
Priscilla will serve as the trustee of her son Navarone Garibaldi’s sub-trust. The 78-year-old will also get a payment of $1 million and an additional $400,000 to cover her legal fees. Despite the generous terms of the settlement agreement, Priscilla wanted more, as she requested to have a burial spot next to her ex-husband in Graceland.
Priscilla Presley wishes to be buried beside her ex-husband, Elvis Presley
“Although I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon,” Priscilla told TMZ, “it is my family’s and my wish for me to be laid to rest with my daughter and the love of my life when that time comes. We appreciate the love from all of the fans.”

However, Priscilla’s request has been denied because it will require relocating one of the existing gravesites, as the King of Rock and Roll already have his parents buried by his side. Nevertheless, the agreement empowers Keough to grant permission, within the scope of her authority, for her grandmother to be laid to rest in the Meditation Garden at Graceland and also hold a memorial service for her on the premises.
In consideration of Priscilla’s burial, every effort will be made to select a location nearest to Elvis’s final resting place without the need to disturb any existing gravesites.
Priscilla Presley wants to be inseparable from Elvis Presley
An insider revealed that despite the fact that both Elvis Presley and Priscilla separated and their divorce was finalized on October 9, 1973, four years before the passing of the legendary musician, Priscilla still considers herself his partner. “Priscilla still thinks of herself as Elvis’ widow, and her rightful resting place is next to him,” the source admitted. “Priscilla has believed for 45 years that she would be buried next to Elvis. But she no longer holds any sway at Graceland or how Riley handles the estate.”
The insider further revealed that the Daisy Jones and the Six actress denied her grandmother’s request because she believes that her mother would not have wanted Priscilla buried close to her because both of them were not on speaking terms months before Lisa Marie’s death. “Riley says she looks at everything through her mother’s eyes and what she would have wanted,” the insider confessed. “She knows her mother and Priscilla were estranged and barely speaking at the end of Lisa Marie’s life, and she doesn’t believe Lisa Marie would want Priscilla interred with her.”
