Ginger Alden Slams Elvis Suicide Allegations, Calls It A ‘Garbage’ Claim

Following the release of the documentary series Elvis’ Women which featured claims from Elvis Presley’s stepbrother David Stanley suggesting that the legendary singer intentionally took his own life. Stanley revealed that the King of Rock and Roll later became frustrated and afraid that his alleged relationship with teenage girls would be exposed thus, he decided to kill himself by overdosing on his medications.

“He premeditated taking the medications that killed him,” he confessed. “Love, hurt, pain, exposure — he just couldn’t take it anymore.” However, in a new development, Elvis Presley’s former fiancée Ginger Alden has come forward to deny the validity of the allegations leveled against the late singer by his stepbrother.

Ginger Alden says David Stanley’s allegations are untrue

Ginger Alden, Elvis Presley has openly expressed her criticism of Stanley’s claims that the singer died by suicide. In an interview with Page Six via email, the actress stated that the suicide stories were created by Elvis Presley’s stepbrothers to tarnish his image.

“Unfortunately, Elvis’ step-brothers have changed stories and even fabricated some tales I know to be false over the years,” Alden confessed to the news outlet. “One brother [of the three] later created a complete garbage story about suicide years back and it looks like he resurfaced with it again.”

Previously, in her book Elvis & Ginger, Alden addressed the allegations of suicide surrounding Elvis’ death. “Elvis loved life far too much. His daughter [Lisa Marie, who died earlier this year] was nearby, my niece was with her, I was there and his father was home. There was absolutely nothing to indicate suicide, NEVER any ‘letter,’” she wrote. “It isn’t true and simply tabloid gossip. Elvis deserved so much praise in his life for all that he accomplished and did for others, and this is how he is repaid, which is shameful.”

In light of the backlash resulting from the allegations contained in the docu-series Elvis‘ Women, Stanley took to Instagram to issue a statement apologizing for his previous claims and the distress it may have caused. “I am sorry for the derogatory comments I made in a documentary about Elvis that was filmed last year,” he wrote in the caption. “There is no excuse for my comments, and I can fully understand why you would be angered.”

He also reiterated his commitment to the legacy of the king of Rock and Roll. “I love and will always love Elvis and being part of his family,” Stanley added. “He is more than worthy of the love you have for him. He loved you. I love you and all I can ask of you is for you to forgive me for my irresponsible actions.”
