Over the years, contestants have had their fair share of winning on the popular game show Jeopardy! and sometimes fans can’t just seem to wrap their heads around why some answers are right or wrong or why some clues appear easy or difficult, and this often results in controversies.
Recently, Jeopardy! fans lashed out at the organizers of the show due to a situation that occurred during the June 7 broadcast where the contestants, Suresh Krishnan, Collette Lee, and Kristine Rembach, were unable to correctly answer 23 different puzzles on the game show.
Fans react to the recent ‘Jeopardy!’ broadcast
The performance of the contestants during the now infamous match received a less-than-enthusiastic response from numerous fans, with some even deeming it the most disappointing episode to date. “Is it just me, or was tonight’s episode of #jeopardy painful to watch?” a Twitter user wrote. “As far as unanswered clues went, this episode had to be in the top 10.”

“My God @Jeopardy, how boring is tonight’s show,” another fan commented. “All three are clueless. Not much enjoyment watching Mayim answer everything.”
“Wow, tonight was horrible. They need new writers,” a third person wrote. “This is one of the collectively worst showings on Jeopardy I’ve ever seen,” someone else said. “Someone better pull this off.”
‘Jeopardy!’ producer Sarah Foss says she hopes fans will erase their memories of the episode
In an episode of the Inside Jeopardy! podcast, producer Sarah Foss and former champion Buzzy Cohen discussed the troubling incident. Foss explained a desire to erase the episode from the mind of their fans. “One thing that was not so great about this game, in this game — this has to be a record — 23 triple stumpers. And it’s something we never like to see,” she explained. “Thankfully, I’ve seen nothing go viral about it, so it’s not gonna go viral, we’ve mentioned it briefly on the pod, and we’ll forget it ever happened.”
However, Cohen also offered a potential explanation for the contestants’ struggle. “You know it’s the last game before lunch; maybe everyone’s a little sleepy or hungry,” the former champion claimed.
